Position Summary
The Sales Analyst engages in the sales process with customers and provides support to Sales Consultants. This individual is responsible for ensuring a cohesive and supportive customer experience by interacting with customers directly through various channels including phone, e-mail, and face-to-face interaction.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with knowledge of sales and customer service best practices. You should also be able to interpret sales metrics and be goal-oriented. We expect you to perform well in a team environment and have exceptional people skills.
Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to creating and maintaining good customer relationships and ensuring smooth sales team operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Assist in managing opportunities through CRM Application.
• Assure existing customer contact information is correct and up to date at all times.
• Generate accurate, high quality proposals and quotes.
• Collaborate with vendors and partners to obtain pricing, availability and delivery, and technical information on products.
• Create, manage, and provide various sales metric reports and forecasts as directed.
• Place accurate and efficient sales orders.
• Monitor contract management system to ensure accuracy and to assist in avoiding a lapse in contract terms.
• Ensure customer expectations are met by completing follow-up calls and pursuing add-on sales opportunities.
• Provide Sales with administrative support in day to day sales operations.
• Maintain industry product knowledge by individual research, attending training, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• Associates degree or equivalent with education focused on technology,
business, or a related degree; and 2 years of sales/sales support, lead
management, or customer service experience; or an equivalent combination
of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents including a variety of instructions
furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of
organization.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and calculate
figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions,
percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists.
• Demonstrated ability to use MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with Cisco Solutions, Cisco SMARTnet, as well as other
technology partners is a plus.
• Experience using a Customer Relationship Management system such as
SugarCRM.
• Professional demeanor/presentation and phone skills. Detail and goal
oriented.
• Ability to maintain consistent and reliable attendance. Hours may vary based
on needs of sales and marketing activities to include some weekend and
after-hours projects or event
